A valuation of the thing, made at the time of the loan, shall have no other effect except that of determining its value at that time, in case the borrower should be answerable for any loss which may occur; and the borrower shall not, merely because the thing was appraised at the time of delivery, be answerable for any loss resulting from a fortuitous event, unless it is otherwise shown that an agreement to the contrary was made.
