A person who during the last ten calendar years immediately preceding his retirement was not liable to pay a contribution under this Act shall not be debarred from receiving a

Two-Thirds Pension if, for each contribution week during the said ten years, he was entitled to a credited contribution in accordance with article 16; and, for the purpose of assessing his pensionable income, his date of retirement shall be deemed to be the last day of his employment or self-occupation, as the case may be.
