Cap. 343 чл. 23Employment agencies and businesses to be licensed.

(1) (1) Without prejudice to the provisions of Part III of this Act, no person shall carry on an employment agency or an employment business unless:

(a) he is the holder of a current licence granted by the

Director authorizing him to carry on such an agency or business in premises specified in the licence, or

(b) he is the holder of a relevant authorization to conduct business as an employment agency by a competent authority in a Member State, and has notified the Director of his intention to provide or that he is providing services of an employment agency in Malta within five working days from the date of the commencement of this activity: Provided that for the purposes of this article, the term ‘relevant authorisation’ means the authorization to perform the services of an employment agency issued by a competent authority of a Member State and it shall be read and construed in terms of the Services (Internal Market) Act:
