No person shall import into Malta any blood or blood components, including blood or blood components intended for use as a starting material or raw material in the manufacture of medicinal products, from a country or territory outside the European Community which does not meet standards of quality and safety equivalent to those laid down in Annex V of Directive 2004/ 33/EC and any amendments thereto.
