In exercising their rights and performing their duties under international law in the exclusive economic zone or any Area, other States shall have due regard to the rights and duties of Malta and shall comply with the laws adopted by Malta pursuant to international law in respect of the exclusive economic zone and, or the relevant Area, and with applicable international law.
