In these Bye-Laws unless the context otherwise requires -

"the applicant" means that person who applies to the Local Council under the provisions of bye-law 3; "Act" means the Local Government Act;

"furniture" means any benches or any other furniture movable or immovable;

"the Council" means the San Ġiljan Local Council; "pavements" mean any public pavements including the promenade and the sea shore.
