(1) The Director of Regulatory Affairs in the Malta Standards Authority, or his designate, as referred to in the Establishment of Directorates of the Malta Standards Authority Order, shall assume the functions of the national representative within the meaning of Articles 8 and 9 of Regulation (EC) No. 106/ 2008.

(2) The Director of Market Surveillance in the Malta Standards Authority, or his designate, as referred to in the Establishment of Directorates of the Malta Standards Authority Order, shall assume the functions and responsibilities of market surveillance and control of abuse with in the meaning of Regulation (EC) No. 106/ 2008.
