21.— (1) Section 41 of the Act of 2007 shall apply to the performance by the metering authority of functions in accordance with this Act subject to the deletion, in subsection (2), of the words “subject to the consent of the relevant road authority where the water services authority is not the road authority for that road or place intended for a road”.

(2) For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Planning and Development Act 2000 shall apply to the metering authority as, by virtue of subsection (12) of section 41 of the Act of 2007, they apply to a water services authority.
