A contractor and any of his employees, other than port workers registered under the provisions of the Port Workers

Ordinance, whilst acting within the scope of his employment in pursuance of an agreement entered into between the Authority and the contractor under article 7(5) of the Authority for Transport in

Malta Act shall be deemed to be a public officer or employee for the purposes of the Criminal Code and of any other law of a penal nature.
