Cap. 41 Art. 17Re-distillation or destruction of refuse or sediment.

(1) It shall be lawful for a distiller to re-distil or destroy any refuse matter or sediment removed by him from his spirit store, provided he shall enter in his stock book the quantity of spirits computed at 57° Gay Lussac contained in such refuse matter or hours’ notice to the proper officer, and such officer, or any person authorized by him in writing, shall take a sample of such refuse matter or sediment, and submit the same to the government analyst for determination of the proportion of spirits therein.
