Cap. 41 Art. 40Removal of spirits from warehouse.

If any spirits stored in a spirit warehouse are not removed therefrom within three years from the day on which the same were first warehoused therein, it shall be lawful for the Comptroller, after one month’s notice in the Government Gazette, to sell the same by public auction, and to deduct from the proceeds of such sale the amount of storage due in respect of such spirits, and the balance of such proceeds, after payment of the duty due on such spirits, shall be paid to the owner thereof on his application:

Provided that nothing in this article shall prevent the maturing of spirits in a spirit warehouse, under such conditions as may be prescribed by the regulations in that behalf.
