Cap. 497 Art. 39General direction and control of agencies by Ministers and supervision by Permanent Secretaries.

(1) Save as otherwise provided in any other law or in any

Order establishing an agency, the Chief Executive Officer of any agency shall be under the general direction and control of the

Minister responsible for the agency and, subject to such direction and control, under the supervision of the Permanent Secretary of that ministry.

(2) Save as aforementioned, where an agency is subject to supervision by a Permanent Secretary article 17, except for subarticle (6) thereof, and article 18 shall apply to the agency and its Chief Executive Officer in the same manner as to departments and their heads.
