Cap. 9 Art. 430Duties of Attorney General.

(1) The Attorney General may, along with the Executive

Police, prosecute before the Court of Magistrates, and shall be the prosecutor before the Criminal Court.

(2) The Attorney General shall indict in the name of the

Republic of Malta, and shall proceed independently of ex officio any complaint of the injured party, except in cases where, according to law, no prosecution may be instituted without the complaint of the injured party.
