Cap. 9 Art. 593One indictment against the same person for more offences although not connected.

(1) Several offences committed by the same person, although not connected with each other, may be joined in the same indictment and tried at the same trial, even if some one of such offences is of an inferior jurisdiction; in any such case, the indictment shall be divided in different counts, in respect of each of which the provisions contained in article 589 shall be observed.

(2) Nevertheless the court may, upon the demand of the

Attorney General, order that such offences be tried separately.
