S.L. 234.17 Art. 1Citation and scope.

(1) The title of these regulations is Merchant Shipping

(Training and Certification) Regulations.

(2) These regulations adopt the measures contained in the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, as amended, and in Directive 2008/106/ EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, on the minimum level of training of seafarers, in its latest amended version.
