S.L. 327.363 Art. 3

The Institute shall be governed by a Board that will consist of the following:

(i) Chairman: Rector or his delegate;

(ii) Vice-Chairman: Director of the Institute;

(iii) a person appointed by the Council of the University;

(iv) a person appointed by the Senate of the University;

(v) an academic from the Faculty of Laws;

(vi) an academic from the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy;

(vii) an academic from the Faculty of Engineering;

(viii) an academic from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology;

(ix) an academic from the Faculty for the Built Environment;

(x) an academic from the Faculty of Science;

(xi) up to two student representatives registered in one of the Institute’s programmes;

(xii) up to two representatives of the academic staff lecturing or conducting research with the Institute; and

(xiii) up to five scholars of repute to be recommended by the Board and approved by Senate.

The Registrar or his delegate shall act as Secretary to the Board.
