(1) The title of these bye-laws is Bye-Laws of 2011 for the

Diploma in Design Foundation Studies under the auspices of the Faculty for the Built Environment.

(2) In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires -"the Board" means the Board of the Faculty for the Built Environment; "the Board of Studies" means the Board of Studies appointed for the course by Senate, on the recommendation of the Board; "the course" means the programme of study leading to the Diploma in Design Foundation Studies; "the Certificate" means the Certificate in Design Foundation Studies; "the Diploma" means the Diploma in Design Foundation Studies; and "the Principal Regulations" means the General Regulations for University Undergraduate Awards.
