S.L. 327.523 Art. 1Citation and interpretation.

(1) The title of these bye-laws is the Bye-Laws for the Certificate in Language Proficiency – Cert. Lang. Pr. - and the Diploma in Language Proficiency – Dip. Lang. Pr. - the auspices of the Faculty of Arts.

(2) In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires -"the Board" means the Board of the Faculty of Arts;

"the Board of Studies" means the Board of Studies appointed by Senate for the respective area of study, on the recommendation of the Board; "the Certificate" means the Certificate in Language Proficiency (named area of study) - Cert. Lang. Pr. -; "the Certificate course" means the programme of study leading to the Certificate in Language Proficiency (named area of study), as applicable "the Diploma" means the Diploma in Language Proficiency (named area of study) – Dip. Lang. Pr. -; "the Diploma course" means the programme of study leading to the Diploma in Language Proficiency (named area of study), as applicable; and

"the University" means the University of Malta.
