In these Bye-Laws unless the context otherwise requires:

"the Act" means the Local Government Act;

"advertisement" means any type of advertisement, including any commercial or non-commercial promotion, and includes also any other notice, notification or message printed or in writing;

"Council" means the Ħal Lija Local Council;

"locality" means the Ħal Lija locality;

"street furniture" includes any object which may be placed or fixed to the ground or placed or fixed to the wall or to any other part of the Tower and the Mitħna;

"the Mitħna" means the Mitħna devolved to the Council on the 09th April 2003 and situated in Triq San Liċinju corner with Triq Annibale Preca;

"the Tower" means the Belvedere Tower devolved to the Council on the 12th January 2011 and situated in Transfiguration Avenue.
