The Commissioner may request any applicant to give such information or clarification and to produce such import documents, purchase invoices, accounts and other records relating to the trading stock of that applicant, and may carry out such investigations as he may deem necessary for the purpose of determining or verifying the correctness or otherwise of the amount due or paid as a refund to that applicant in accordance with these regulations.
