The conversion period referred to in Article 36(4) of

Regulation (EC) 889/2008 may be shortened to a period of not less than one year, depending on the case concerned:

Provided that this regulation shall only apply in the following two cases: S.L.427.93 OF ORGANIC PRODUCTS

(a) parcels treated with a product not authorised for organic production as part of a compulsory disease or pest control measure imposed by the competent authority;

(b) parcels treated with a product not authorised for organic production as part of scientific pests approved by the competent authority: Provided further that that harvest following the treatment may not be sold with reference to the organic production methods.
