S.L. 433.30 Art. 21Additional or more stringent requirements.

(1) The Directorate may as regards the conditions laid down in Schedules II and III, impose additional or more stringent requirements for the certification of seeds of agricultural plants and vegetables produced in Malta and also for the examination of commercial seed of fodder plants produced in Malta.

(2) The certification of seeds of the following species may be restricted to certified seed of the first generation:

(i) cereals - oats, barley and wheat;

(ii) fodder plants - field pea, field bean and lucerne.
