S.L. 437.103 Art. 24On-spot inspections.

(1) On-the-spot inspections shall be carried out by veterinary experts of the Member States, being either the Member State of origin or collection or the Member State of destination, to be designated by the Commission on request by the Member States, whereby it shall ensure that all the provisions of these rules are effectively applied.

(2) The costs for the inspections carried out shall be incurred on behalf of the Community. The frequency of the inspections and the inspection procedure shall be determined in accordance with the procedure referred to in the definition "Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health" as provided under rule 2(2).
