S.L. 437.109 Art. 1Citation and scope.

(1) The title of these rules is Measures for the Control of Newcastle Disease Rules.

(2) The scope of these rules is to transpose Council Directive 92/66/EEC introducing Community measures for the control of Newcastle disease as amended by Directive (EU) 2018/597 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18th April 2018.

(3) These rules establish control measures to be taken in the event of an outbreak of Newcastle disease in poultry, racing pigeons and other birds kept in captivity.
