S.L. 437.58 Art. 5Plan setting out the national measures.

(1) The Veterinary Services shall submit a plan to the Commission setting out the national measures to be implemented during the initial year of the plan and subsequently any update of plans previously approved in accordance with rule 8 on the basis of the experience of the preceding year, or years by 31 March at the latest of the year of the update.

(2) The plan provided for in sub-rule (1) shall:

(a) provide for detection of groups of residues or substances according to type of animal, in accordance with Schedule II;

(b) specify in particular the measures for detection of the presence of:

(i) the substances referred to in paragraph (a) in the animals, in the drinking water of the animals and in all places where the animals are bred or kept;

(ii) residues of the aforementioned substances in live animals, their excrement and body fluids and in animal tissues and products such as meat, milk, eggs and honey;

(c) comply with the sampling rules and levels laid down in Schedules III and IV.
