S.L. 437.60 Art. 17Equidae on arrival in Malta.

(1) Immediately upon arrival in Malta as Member State of destination, equidae for slaughter shall be taken to a slaughterhouse, either directly or after transition through a market or a marshalling centre, and, in accordance with animal health requirements, be slaughtered within a period of time specified in rule 15.

(2) Without prejudice to any special conditions which may be adopted by the Community, the competent authority may, on animal health grounds, designate the slaughterhouse to which such equidae must be taken.
