S.L. 437.72 Art. 15Control at destination.

(1) The competent authority of the Member State of destination may, at places of destination, check the compliance of products with the requirements of an official inspection in the field of animal nutrition by means of non-discriminatory random checks. In particular, and only to the extent necessary for carrying out these random checks, the Veterinary Services may ask operators to report the arrival of the products to it. The Veterinary Services shall inform the European Commission when they avail themselves of this action.

(2) Without prejudice to sub-rule (1), where the Veterinary Services in case of transit trough Malta or at destination has information leading it to suspect an infringement, checks may also be carried out during the transport of products in the territory.
