S.L. 454.1 Art. 16Notification of services, agencies and institutes authorised to carry out examination.

(1) The Authority shall notify all interested parties of the services, agencies and institutes which are duly authorized to carry out the examination specified in these regulations and in the separate regulations, to issue the certificates of EEC pattern approval and to affix the Authority EEC initial verification marks.

(2) The separate regulations shall specify the control requirements for instruments in service which bear signs or marks and in particular the maximum errors permitted in service.

(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of regulation 3(1), an instrument in service which bears Authority signs or marks but does not satisfy the requirements of the relevant separate regulations, in particular with regard to maximum permissible errors, may be banned from service in the same way as an instrument bearing national marks.
