(1) These regulations also apply to the prescription, methods of measurement, metrological control and marking of quantities of pre-packaged products. The same value shall be attached to EEC pattern approval and EEC initial verification as to the corresponding national measures.

(2) The separate regulations concerning the subjects referred to in regulation 3 shall specify in particular, the measurement procedures and characteristics of, and the technical requirements for, their design and functioning as regards the products referred to in regulation 3(1) and (2) and the requirements concerning sub-regulation (1).
