Notwithstanding the provisions of the Act and of Part IV of the Customs Ordinance, any firearms and ammunition acquired by a licensee and imported or re-imported into Malta, whether by sea or by air, shall upon entry or re-entry into Malta be stored in bonded warehouses under the authority of the Department of Customs or in any other secure storage facility as approved in accordance with regulation 8(h):

Provided that firearms and ammunitions belonging to a licensee may upon entry or re-entry into Malta be subject to any checks or inspections carried out by any duly authorized officer of the customs or a police officer in accordance with the provisions of any other law. Part V
