S.L. 480.5 Art. 5Entitlements of the licensee.

By virtue of the licence granted under these regulations, and notwithstanding the provisions of article 5 of the Act, the licensee shall be allowed to acquire, purchase, import, keep, handle, possess, store, ship, export, transit, decommission or dispose of any firearms or ammunition listed in Schedules II and III of the Act, for the exclusive purpose of providing protection against piracy or armed robbery at sea in the high risk area: Provided that the Board is notified in accordance with regulation 10(1)(a): Provided further that the acquisition, purchase, importation, handling, keeping, possession, storage, shipping, exportation, transit, decommission or disposal of the said firearms and ammunition shall be carried out in accordance with any applicable law and the licensee shall obtain any export or import licence as may be required.
