S.L. 549.59 Art. 19Action to be taken by the competent authority on group A and group B pollutants.

(1) The competent authority shall take any action it deems necessary in accordance with the powers granted to it under the

Act, to make sure that the levels of group A and group B pollutants do not exceed the applicable limit values or target values prescribed by the relevant sections of Schedule 7, in those zones and agglomerations in which the ambient levels of these pollutants are below the applicable limit or target values.

(2) The best ambient air quality, compatible with sustainable development shall be maintained throughout these zones and agglomerations.
