S.L. 594.8 Art. 6Period of apprenticeship.

The period of apprenticeship in any of the callings under this scheme shall be of six years:

Provided that six months shall be deducted from the said period of six years, to a total deduction of not more than two years, in respect of each year of learnership in the calling, undergone by the prospective apprentice with the permission of the Director:

Provided that in respect of contracts of apprenticeship entered into after the 1st day of January, 1970, the period of apprenticeship shall be of five years in the callings of Jeweller and Jewel Setter and of four years in the callings of Goldsmith, Silversmith and Filigree Worker.
