S.L. 65.19 Art. 61Conditions.

The performance of cabotage transport operations shall be subject to any law, regulation or other measure in force in Malta, in particular relating to:

(a) the rates and conditions governing the transport contract;

(b) weights and dimensions of road vehicles shall meet the conditions of the regulations regulating weights, dimensions and equipment for motor vehicles;

(c) requirements relating to the carriage of certain categories of goods, in particular dangerous goods, perishable foodstuffs and live animals;

(d) driving and rest time;

(e) value added tax (VAT) on transport services. Provided that this regulation shall apply equally to resident and non-resident hauliers established in the Member States.
