S.L. 9.17 Art. 22Consequences of the transfer of the sentenced person. [

(1) Subject to sub-regulation (2), the Maltese authorities shall not proceed with the enforcement of a sentence once its enforcement has commenced in the executing State.

(2) The right to enforce a sentence shall revert to the Maltese authorities upon information by the executing State of the partial non-enforcement of the sentence pursuant to the sentenced person’s escape from custody. S.L.9.17 IN THE EUROPEAN UNION)
