Before the authority or person requested to take the examination, the questions shall be put according to the interrogatories transmitted with the letter of request, and, in cross-

examination, there shall be put such other questions as the agent of the opposite party may require; the examiner may also put any other questions which, as a result of the answers given, he may deem or the agent of the party demanding the examination may show to be necessary or expedient.
