All persons who at the time of commencement of the Malta

Police Ordinance were serving as police officers shall be deemed to have been appointed under that Ordinance as in force prior to the coming into force of the Malta Police Ordinance (Amendment) Act, 2002, and shall be considered to have duly taken the oath of office as required by such law.
