Cap. 234 Art. 9Default of payment.

A registrar is entitled to demand payment of any outstanding fees, charges or penalties due under this Act prior to recording any transaction in the register of a ship or prior to granting any services in connection with a ship: Provided that in any case any registered mortgagee shall always be entitled, on payment of such fee as may be prescribed, to official documentary evidence as to the status of his mortgage in the register of any ship.
