Every motor vehicle imported or brought into Malta or manufactured in Malta shall, unless otherwise directed by the

Authority, be accompanied by a certificate of conformity issued by the manufacturer, or any other similar and equivalent documentation in respect to the motor vehicle as proof that it complies with all relevant type approval requirements which the Authority may from time to time request, or as may be prescribed.
