Cap. 569 Art. 61Pending investigations.

(1) If, prior to the date of entry into force of this Act, any report has been lodged with the Government agency currently designated by the Minister to protect the welfare of children, such agency shall conclude any pending investigation within the term of six months from the date of entry into force of this Act.

(2) The said term may, on the demand of such agency, be extended by the Director for an additional term of three months, and where the matter is such that the determination of the true nature of the case depends upon the lapse of a longer period of time, to such longer particular circumstances of the case he sees it fit to do so.
