Cap. 529 Art. 20Transitory provisions relating to restricted company service providers.

Notwithstanding the provisions of articles 3(1A) and 3B(1), persons who were acting as restricted company service providers in or from Malta prior to the date of the coming into force of the

Company Service Providers (Amendment) Act, 2025 may continue to do so provided that they duly notify the Authority of their intention to do so in accordance with the provisions of article 3B by not later than two (2) months from the said date:

Provided that where any such person fails to notify the competent authority within such period, that person shall immediately cease from acting as a restricted company service provider.

Added by: SCHEDULE L.2020.19. A company service provider authorised to Class A provide, by way of its business, the following CSP services to third parties: (i) formation of companies or other legal entities; and, or (ii) provision of a registered office, a business correspondence or administrative address and other related services for a company, a partnership or any other legal entity.

A company service provider authorised to Class B provide, by way of its business, the service to third CSP parties of acting as, or arranging for another person to act as director or secretary of a company, a partner in a partnership or in a similar position in relation to other legal entities.

A company service provider authorised to Class C provide, by way of its business, all of the services CSP of a company service provider specified under article 2(1) in the definition "company service provider".
