S.L. 117.6 Art. 2Prohibition.

The transhipment in Malta of any goods specified in the First Schedule which are in the course of shipment on a through bill of lading or otherwise -

(a) from any country specified in the Second Schedule; or

(b) from any other country if the Comptroller of Customs is satisfied that a person who is resident in any country specified in the Second Schedule has acted as a principal in the consignment of the goods, to any country specified in the Third Schedule is prohibited unless the goods are accompanied by a valid transit authorisation certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the country from which the goods were originally exported, in the form of the Fourth Schedule.
