S.L. 234.40 Art. 13Power to detain.

Saving other provisions of these regulations where the equipment on board a ship does not comply with the requirements of these regulations the ship may be considered to be unseaworthy in terms of the provisions of article 278 of the Act and the ship shall be liable to be detained and without prejudice to the other provisions of the Act, articles 281 to 283B of the Act shall apply.
