S.L. 35.17 Art. 3General exemptions.

The Director General (Social and Family Affairs) shall provide the handyman service without charge to the following persons:

(a) persons who have passed the means test and who at the same time are pensioners by reason of their having reached the age of sixty years, and preference shall be given to such persons who are very elderly and who live on their own; and

(b) persons who are registered as disabled persons and who have a special identity card issued by the National Commission for Disabled Persons, and who live on their own: Provided that the said Director General may, if he is satisfied with the circumstances of the case, provide the same services without charge to the persons mentioned in this paragraph who, although not living on their own, do not have any other person living with them in the same residence who is able to render such a service.
