S.L. 419.2 Art. 6Grant of licence.

(1) The Authority, after considering an application made under regulations 3 shall, if satisfied that -

(a) the local goods, in respect of which the application has been made, satisfy the standards of quality and fulfil the conditions prescribed in the standard order or orders applicable to such goods; and

(b) (i) the premises in which such goods are assembled, produced, manufactured or processed, as the case may be, and

(ii) the nature of wrappers, cartons, containers or cans in which such goods are purveyed and other conditions relating to the transportation, handling and storage, comply with the requirements set out in any regulations made by the Minister under article 18(e) of the Act, grant a licence to the applicant authorising him to use the standard mark in relation to such goods.

(2) Any licence granted by the Authority in accordance with subregulation (1) shall be signed by the Chairman of the Authority for and on behalf of the Authority.
