S.L. 433.6 Art. 6Miscellaneous.

(1) The Director may authorise exemptions from the measures referred to in these regulations for scientific purposes, tests and selection work.

(2) The Director, notwithstanding regulation 4, may authorise the circulation of cut carnation flowers slightly contaminated by carnation leaf rollers from the 1st May to the 15th October of each year.

(3) The Director shall ensure that the authorisations referred to in subregulations (1) and (2) are granted only where adequate controls guarantee that they do not prejudice the control of carnation leaf rollers and create no risk of the spread of these

*These Regulations have been repealed by Legal Notice 238 of 2022. harmful organisms, and as long as the requirements laid down under the Act are met.

(4) Without prejudice to the provisions of these regulations the Director may adopt such additional or stricter provisions as may be required to control carnation leaf rollers or to prevent them from spreading insofar as such provisions are necessary for such control or prevention.
