S.L. 499.12 Art. 2Purpose.

These regulations:

(a) regulate the movement, transfer, storage and handling 2010; of dangerous cargoes, bunkers, ballast and tank 2011; by: cleaning operations on all ships and at all marine 2012. terminals and facilities within or connected to the

2026. internal and territorial waters of Malta;

(b) transpose the provisions of Directive 2002/59/EC of th the European Parliament and of the Council of the 27 June, 2002, as subsequently amended by Directive 2009/17/EC of the European Parliament and of the rd Council of the 23 April, 2009 and Directive 2011/15/ EU of the European Commission of the 23rd February, 2011, concerning dangerous and polluting goods; and

(c) implement the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2019/ 1239 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 establishing a European Maritime Single Window environment and repealing Directive 2010/65/ EU.
