S.L. 65.11 Art. 85Signal before stopping.

Every person driving a motor vehicle shall, before stopping, drive such motor vehicle close to the footpath and parallel thereto and indicate his intention to stop either by the use of the light signal or, if such light signal is at the moment out of order, by holding out his arm in a horizontal position, palm facing downwards and slowly moving it in an up and down direction, in such a manner that his hand is clearly visible to any driver immediately following his motor vehicle.
