Cap. 16 Art. 1512Acknowledge- ment.

(1) Any of the acknowledgements mentioned in the last two preceding articles may be either express or implied; and the payment or receipt of ground-rent or of a fine by or from the alienee shall operate as an implied acknowledgement, unless an express reservation is made by a judicial act.

(2) Both the and the alienee may require the dominus acknowledgement to be made by a public deed or a private instrument; and in any such case the expenses shall be borne by the party requiring the written form.
