S.L. 12.9 Art. 22Witnesses not subpoenaed.

Whoever, not being served with a subpoena to give evidence in a cause pending in the superior courts, is requested by any of the parties to give his deposition, shall, whenever he attends at the court, without being examined, give notice of the said request to the deputy registrar who shall make a record thereof to be inserted in the proceedings.
